Modelling of Active and Latent Attributes Based on Traveler Perspectives: Case of Port City of Douala

A growing stream of study stresses the relevance subjective elements in understanding hierarchy preferences that underpin individual travel behavior. The purpose this is to evaluate impact various factors on mode choice. To achieve this, a multinomial logit model (MNL) was used analyze relationships between choice and three classes attributes; Combined Active Latent, only Latent attributes. data are derived from surveys port city Douala, Cameroon as case study. Results stipulated that, combined attributes performed better than both active latent models.
